This example of evidence shows the camera focus on the detail of a bullet casing. The blurred background pulls the audiences full attention to the back of the casing. From this the audience can notice an indentation in the centre. This allows audience to deduce that the mark was made by the firing pin striking the back of the casing, resulting in a shot being fired. From this simple image the audience is able to notice that a gun had previously been fired before the picture was taken.

This picture features an empty car with two bullet holes in the window. This example of evidence allows audiences to piece together a story of the events that had previously occurred. This example of evidence shows the way in which a picture can be presented to tell a story.

This example of evidence shows the cause and result of a crime. The picture highlights an arm wielding a knife. Blood stains are spattered on the floor and on the victim. The person holding the knife appears to be dead. From this we can gather that a knife fight had been the cause of the victims death due to the cuts on the victims arm. The lack of blood on the blade suggests that the knife was used for defines but was unable to prevent the attacker.

This example of evidence shows used cigarettes on top of an object. This shows the audience that multiple people have previously been smoking in the area.
